What about amino acids?, i got some for repair after workouts, i have not used them yet and wondering what your opion is?… thanks in advance…
work oot….lol…must be canadian.
I actually just researched it a bit and it seems that there is evidence from peer reviewed research that alternating between cold and warm water post exercise can help in muscle recovery!
Another thing though, how do you go about your training? Full body workouts, splits, or both? What do you think of Hypertrophy Specific Training (HST)?
Thank you
Antonis
Are there are any studies investigating the effect of cold and hot water post-exercise on muscle growth? Or have you found this to work from? experience?
Thanks,
Antonis?
LOL
ok how often must u switch from hot to cold, like every 1 min, every 10mins every like 1 sec lol but yeh how often? o and great documentary you made enjoyed heaps, n u got a gr8 body wanna be like that
You could do this, but to get the same effect you would need to move back and forth from hot to cold water. I would try it if there was a pool near the hot tub. You need the cold to contract blood flow and the heat to expand it. This effect accelerates the recovery process.
at the gym there are one of those heated pools that bubbles do you think this would work? i notice after getting out of it my muscles in my body feel really loose and the tension in them is gone
I been thinking of getting
Anabol-5 by Nutrex
Halodrol Liquigels by Gaspari Nutrition
For muscle/mass gains and i was wondering do you think they are worth it?
thanks
Creatine is a great supplement, but I would be careful of using some brands that tend to use high levels of sugar to create the insulin spike that shuttles creatine to the muscles. If you do use those products I would only use them when trying to eat high calorie. If you are leaning down these sugar heavy products will kill your objective.
sebastian i’ve got a qustion? would you recommend creatine for a me? (i’m 17 by the way) do you think its a little to yuoung?
Don’t be stupid dude…
So cold first then hot and then end with cold? How long should each take?
exellent tip thanks again sabasian!
Definately too hot. Your hot shower should be comfortable enough not to burn you. Think of it this way… When you place a hot water bottle on a sore muscle for relief it can be hot or quite warm, but it shouldn’t burn you. It’s the same with the shower.
Exactly how hot do you mean because I had some 2nd degree burn after my first shower. Is this normal?
take whey gain for gaing muscle
I’m pretty sure they make whey protien supplements with creatine in it. Or you could get both, They are both good supplements, Protien = building blocks for muscle, Creatine = Muscle saturation + increased recovery, Yeah, I use both
You should definately use whey protein, as these two product do entirely different things. You need the protein to build muscle and creatine is only of any value if you have growing muscle, since it floods the cells with fluid and speeds recovery. However, too little protein will mean the creatine is doing you little good.
i am a slim person and woz thinkin which shake i should use for muscle growth creatine or whey
This is a really good tip. I do this all the time for my feet and wrists, this relaxes them when they’re sore and takes the pain away more quickly than without this.
Great videos
!
jkdsifu06 is right. start with cold first and end with cold. I go full cold and start by cooling the arms and legs and then move to my body core. When I go with hot, I keep it comfortable and quite warm. Glad the tips are helping
cold.. start from your right feet, go up to your right hand, then left back down.. then hot start the cold one low! very important to make it healthy for your heart ( my english sux)
Thanks for checking in on this again. I tend to go with full on cold and then I allow the hot shower to be as comfotable but hot. No need to burn your flesh off. You won’t necessarily stop the soreness, but it will help speed along recovery.
