How To Get Stronger Muscles

I have mentioned this before in past articles, but it is well worth mentioning again, because it is just that important. The most simple and effective way of getting huge fast is to focus on building the resistance you use in all of your current exercises. In short – muscle gains come from strength gains.
With all the different advice you find on the Internet these days, it easy to lose sight of this fundamental truth about building muscle. When you increase the size of a given muscle group, you will indirectly increase the strength of that same muscle group. Likewise, when you increase the strength of any given muscle group, you increase their size as well.
Steadily increasing the resistance you are using in a range of basic exercises, is the surest way to gaining muscle, and building the physique of your dreams. When you make gradual, but consistent increases in the resistance you are using in your exercises, it doesn’t take very long before your muscles respond by getting bigger.

This simple truth about building muscle has been around since the beginning of weight training, and still hold true today. Unfortunately, almost all the advice around concerning how best to build muscle fast, sends a lot of mixed messages about what is important, and what you can do without.
A simple guideline to strive for is roughly a five to ten percent increase in strength on all your exercises each and every week. As long as you maintain good form in your exercise performance, you will be amazed at just how much muscle you will gain as a result of this simple rule.

The best way to use the five percent rule, is to always strive to either increase the number of repetitions you perform in any given set of an exercise, or increase the amount of resistance used. This type of training has become know as the “double progression” method. It is called this because you are not just focusing on increasing the number of repetitions you perform, but you are also striving to increase the amount of weight you use as well.
If I had to start all over again, and build muscle as fast as humanly possible, I would simply block out all other distractions, and just focus on using the “double progression” method on all my exercises. This one method alone is probably accountable for more muscle growth than any other bodybuilding principle.
I know it might seem like you need to get real fancy with “blasting,” “bombing,” and “blitzing” your muscles inorder to build muscle fast, but it just isn’t so. Instead, focus on increasing the number of repetitions, and the amount of weight you use each week by at least five percent, and watch your muscle growth explode.
